What is DeepSeek?
Erm… where have you been — for the low down, go here.

Here are all of my favourite ways to access DeepSeek

1. Locally and off-line —CodeGPT plugin for Cursor AI where you download DeepSeek and can use completely offline from the internet. Full post with walkthrough here.

2. Abacus AI’s ChatLLM — my favourite weapon of choice. Aggregates all available LLMs for $10 a month (inc premium models like Claude Sonnet 3.5 and OpenAI’s o1), use my affiliate code if you fancy a try — best value
I assume they’ve implemented an open source version of DeepSeek, but I don’t know, if you do, please let us know in the comments

3. DeepSeek iOS App, number 1 on app stores — ultra convenient and likely processed through servers in China. Make of that what you will.

4. DeepSeek WebApp — I heard they might be throttling sign-ups, but if you have one, make sure you click on R1 before you prompt. Same servers at #3 obviously.

5. Venice.ai — fully decentralised implementation with enhanced privacy features if you are that way inclined. Looks beautiful too.

6. Groq — High performance implementation, will respond at lightening quick speeds and non-Chinese infrastructure.

DeepSeek is still shaking things up and really making waves (I mean, it’s number 1 on the app store!) — even more than my favourite model (Claude Sonnet 3.5) which has been available much longer but not enjoying the same adoption curve (really amazing for developing code if thats your thing).

Did I miss any implementations you enjoy — share them below in the comments.
